showing my book to even more people, I discovered where i need to refine my book more.
one of the bigger issues people were noticing was that the table of contents along with the introduction of the sections was not clear enough, and people were getting confused when they reached new sections and how they were progressing through the book.
there were also smaller critiques about how i was carrying through the illustrations I was doing, and making sure the elements were carried through the book, yet were not overwhelming or clouding the other content.
the toasting page felt fun and playful, but the image didn’t really relate clearly to the text, and it the meaning/importance of the text was unclear.
i decided to make it a modular system of showing the toast and make the text a bit more decorative and not necessarily meant to be especially important text for the reader to see
in regards to building a more cohesive system, i started to build out the section title pages to utilize the same heirarchy of typeface and type size.
these sections originally did not have this typeface along with the section title being utlized, so adding this really helped to tie the book together more clearly
